Overhead Power & Free Conveyor
System
To optimize use of available space,
and minimize plant floor disruption, Plencon installed
a 600 ft. automated Overhead Power & Free Conveyor
System at a large truck manufacturing facility.
Plencon installed a low-slung,
"intelligent" conveyor system composed of individual
roller conveyor and pop-up chain sections and
a novel unload section designed to tilt, rotate,
and rise to ergonomically assist operators.
This customer required a twin
monorail, fully-automated, flexible method of
supplying several coining presses with blanks
to be pressed into various currencies.
To handle a variety of roll sizes
and printing requirements, Plencon installed a
sophisticated roll handling system c/w accumulating
powered roller conveyor, hydraulic "grabber" and
pallet stacker.
A heavy-duty
"clam-shell" clamp, overhead crane and
complex powered-roller conveyor system operate
together to transfer large paper rolls from a
slitting machine to shipping area.
